ARTEMISIA DRACUNCULUS
Origin : France

Originally, this plant from the steppes of Central Asia was identified as dragon herb. The serpentine shape of the tarragon root led herbalists to believe that it could cure the bites of venomous animals. Hence the Greek word drakon (dragon), the Arabic tarkhum (little dragon) and the Latin name of the species: dracunculus (little dragon). It has always been the subject of myth and legend. On a more serious note, it is known to have been used by Arab physicians as early as the year 1000 for its properties.
