About the plant :
Native to the islands of south-east Asia, this citrus bears the name that the first western sailors gave to an island in the region. Widely used in the kitchen for its pronounced fragrance reminiscent of Citronella, its zest would be used by the peoples of southeast Asia to repel snakes.
