About the plant :

This tree of the spruce family is the symbol of the boreal forest, and its great resistance means it can live in the harsh climates of the Arctic. Black spruce essential oil is produced by distilling the harvested needles. The essential oil is mainly made up of the following compounds: bornyl acetate, alpha-pinenes, camphene and beta-pinenes. It takes around 1 kg of needles to obtain 10 ml of essential oil.
