About the plant :

Native to southern Africa, the Pelargonium - or Florist's Cranesbill - belongs to the Geraniaceae family. Gardeners have tried their hand at numerous hybridisations over the centuries, and there are now over 600 species of Geranium! The specific epithet graveolens comes from Latin and means "strong-smelling".
