About the plant :

Java citronella is a tropical herbaceous plant from southern India, belonging to the Poaceae family. Also known as Indian verbena or lemon grass, it has remarkable aromatic qualities. Widely used in cooking, freshly sliced stems give a lemony flavour to dishes from South-East Asia.
