HELICHRYSUM ITALICUM

Origin : Aroma'plantes

Distilled part : plant

About the plant :

Helix comes from the Greek helios meaning «sun» and chrysos «gold». It is also called Immortal because once its flowers are cut they keep very long. Known since the Greco-Roman era, it is found in Greek mythology where Ulysses meets Nausica, a very beautiful woman who owes her beauty to the oil of Immortal. It takes between 700kg and 1 tonne for 1 liter of essential oil, which is why it is expensive.
