About the plant :

Helichrysum comes from the Greek word helios meaning "sun" and chrysos meaning "gold". It is also called Immortal because once the flowers have been cut, they can be kept for a very long time. Known since Greco-Roman times, it is found in Greek mythology where Ulysses meets Nausica, a beautiful woman who owes her beauty to Immortelle oil. It takes between 700kg and 1 tonne to produce 1 litre of essential oil, which is why it is so expensive.
