About the plant :

In the Middle Ages, it was used for its purifying properties and to cure eye problems, hence the name salvia, which means ‘to save’. The Greeks and Romans used it for its toning properties, and in Egypt women drank sage juice for its fertility-enhancing properties. Shamans and healers believed it helped develop our visionary abilities.

Here are a few properties of Clary Sage essential oil:

• This is the essential oil for women, and is indicated for all feminine problems, whether gynaecological, for the menopause, hot flushes, vaginal dryness, menstrual pain, heavy periods... (or the opposite, as it has a regulating action).
• It is indicated in case of excessive perspiration.
• It has an anti-sebum and regulating action: oily skin/hair.
• Anti-cellulite, it helps in the removal of fat.
