About the plant :

Associated since ancient times with Hell and the cult of the dead, the Cypress is the tree of mourning and immortality because it remains evergreen. A symbol of eternity, it is often found in cemeteries. In China, it is found on tombs, where it is said to give strength to the souls of the dead. Its wood was said to be indestructible. Cypress essential oil, extracted from the twigs, is used for its properties on venous and lymphatic circulation, particularly its vasoconstrictor properties. Cypress essential oil is produced by steam distillation of the leafy twigs. It takes around 1 kg of twigs to obtain 10 ml of essential oil.
